Southwest Desert Classic

Join Stotz Equipment at the Southwest Desert Classic — where family, great ground, and fast horses come together for one of Utah’s premier barrel racing futurity events. Founded in 2012, the Southwest Desert Classic has grown into a top destination for riders of all ages and skill levels, drawing competitors from across the Western U.S. with quality competition, strong payouts, and a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere.

As founder Vickie Solmonsen shared, “There wasn’t any futurities in Utah to speak of, so we decided to open up the breeders option, generate some money, and create a fun futurity for the riders here.”
